| Purpose | The purpose of ISOGS shall be to advance the knowledge of Islam. |
| Politics | No substantial part of the activities of ISOGS shall be to carry on the propaganda or otherwise attempting to influence legislation. ISOGS shall also not participate in or intervenet in any political campaign on behalf of an candidate for public office.

| Financials | ISOGS shall function exclusively for religious, charitable, and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. |
| Principals | The ISOGS's affairs shall be conducted in accordance with the teachings of Islam as prescribed in the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's peace be upon him).

To help Muslims in the Greater Springfield area to carry out religious, social, civic, charitable and literary activities according to the teachings of Islam.
To create a better understanding of Islam among Muslims and non-Muslims through education and communication.
To present, promote and safeguard the interast of Islam and Muslims.
To work cordially with other individuals and organizations in the Greater Springfield area and to contribute to the well-being of the community at large.
